About College :- It was in early 1991 that Shri Chandra Shekhar , then Prime Minister of India , announced the establishment of Acharya Narendra Dev College on the outskirts of the village of Rajokri in South Delhi , an area overlooking the farm houses of Vasant Kunj. Start with the provisional allotment of four rooms in the structure of SPS in RK Buram School Sector 4 , he joined the faculty of the first batch of students and teaching programs began with two sessions - B.Com. Honours and 'A' B.Sc public and eighty students.
In August 1992 , the college moved to the current premises in Govindpuri , Kalkaji, which had been vacated by the martyr Bhagat Singh College and began with a B.Sc ( Hons) Electronics and Computer Science B.Sc year. Later added a B.Sc ( Hons) in Physics and Chemistry in 1993 , botany , zoology and mathematics in 1994 , the year B.Sc group 'B' and B.Sc sericulture public in 1995 and PGDCA in 1996 .
Before the end of the decade and that B.Sc Honours Computer Science and BCA (1997) , which metamorphed soon in two very popular ( despite being courses for 4 years ) - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and Information Science B in 1998 . This is due to the UGC directive was for these courses to be scrapped at the university and was re- BA ( Hons) in Computer Science in 2001 . In 1999 , the college began a radically different path - B.Sc Biomedical Sciences , which was the acceptance by the entrance exam .
The center was established in 2003 with a foreign language certificate courses in French , Spanish, German and Russian. After two years and also established unit higher than the diploma in foreign languages. Students can register for M.Sc Mathematics and Chemistry M.Sc in 1997 and 2000 , respectively .
The year 2005 saw a major overhaul in the previous sessions and B.Sc year - has been renamed this B. Bachelor programs with radical changes in the curriculum as well as the curriculum and make it ' very much in demand . " Currents were 4 B, Bachelor Degree Program in Life Sciences , and Applied Life Sciences , Physical Sciences and Applied Sciences material .
Session starting from July 2010 saw a change another teacher at the University of Delhi . With all undergraduate courses under the Faculties of Science and Applied Science as well as being a shift in the framework of the disengagement plan, and with the new curriculum . Acharya Narendra Dev College , being the first place in the Faculty of Science and witnessed major reforms in their systems. Semesterised been ten of thirteen university courses .
In 2011 , and other undergraduate courses only , B.Sc (H) Mathematics and B.Com. (H), has also been turned into a separation system . We also increased the number of seats in B.Com (H) 40-80.
And acceptance of 2012 seeing another incrase in B.Com (H) seats to 100 in the first year .
At present we have 1650 students , not to mention the language courses , and this number is increasing every year! We also have about 200 students registered for foreign language courses .
